SUV RVing : What must-drive road should I do next?? -Tristan
Deborah M : Great to see the top of Mt Evans again. I drove to the top many years ago, before there were times for driving up. It was in August, and was very crowded at the top. Loved seeing your very serene experience. As for cog trains, when I lived in Switzerland, I had an incredible experience riding one up the Swiss Alps tp Zermatt and the Matterhorn. It is simply amazing the steep inclines that the train maneuvered. You can hear the cogs engaging. My favorite mountain drive with switchbacks, steep drops, spectacular views, and extreme change in climate, is Hwy 74 which begins near Palm Springs, California (in Palm Desert) and goes up into the mountains that rise abruptly from the desert floor. It is also called the Palms to Pines Hwy, as a nod to the extreme change in plant life one witnesses along the way. I highly recommend it! There are some good hiking trails around Idyllwild, a charming mountain town. One can fish at Lake Hemet, a long the way. Good camping there as well.
Lynette Patten : 1989: Pike's peak wasn't paved all the way. There was a mandatory stop 1/3 down for brake check. My brakes were still cool! They said, "lady, that could account for the 20 cars stacked up behind you." I was just doing what they said to do. Go slow and don't ride your brakes.
Ric G : You car definitely is good looking for 20 years old. Of course, when I was 20 years old I looked pretty good myself. Now that I'm 69, not so much.
thomas mayes : When I was there 46 years ago, all that the summit presented was a wooden sign with the elevation and a dirt parking lot. It was well worth the trip.

Is a Folding eBike Worth it For SUV RVers/Vanlifers/Car Campers? (& Lectric XP 2.0 Review)

In this video I go over the pros and cons of taking a folding ebike with you on your travels, talk about what you could use it for, and give my thoughts on the Lectric XP 2.0 ebike, which Lectric sent to me.

David Lari : As someone with zero knowledge of eBikes, but who is eBike-curious, I found this video useful. And it was good to hear from someone I trust to give the bad as well as the good. Thanks Tristan!
Scott PerfectlyLonely : I've used my ebike for the, past six years, as a boondocking pre-runner. When I arrive at a questionable potential camping spot, I ride my bike to check for a site. It's easier to turn the bike around on a two track than it is my van.
I remove the battery to lift the bike back onto the van. makes the process a little easier.
I don't travel without my bike.
Scott from Maine : It would be good for people who camp in a vehicle to venture off without fear of losing their campsite in a busy area. And for scouting a sketchy road without taking your vehicle down it.
David Paine : Great and useful review. One thing no one seems to mention is how useful this would be if you're boondocking, your vehicle has a problem you need help with, and your 5 or 10 miles out of cell range! This could save the day!

Conquering the Highest Peak in the Rocky Mountains—and MORE! (SUV Camping/Vanlife Adventures)

In this video I return to the state that I have done shamefully little in—Colorado. This is the first video from a two-week-long trip primarily through Colorado but also into neighboring states. Stay tuned for lots of amazing adventures!

Catherine S : “Not my scene”. Love it. We can’t stand crowded, tourist towns either. Thank you again for another beautiful video.
SUV RVing : Thanks for watching! Be sure to check back on Tuesday morning (7 am mountain time) for a special mid-week bonus video about a piece of gear I think you guys will be interested in -Tristan
A : Ahhh Aspen was just as I imagined it would be. They say it was livable in the 60s...

Can't wait to see where else you went in Colorado!
Rugged Runner Overland : I've been subscribed to your channel for almost 5 years now, I'm really glad to see you're finally exploring the Colorado Rockies. Looking forward to more videos from this trip, hopefully you got to explore the San Juan Mountains and visit the towns of Ouray and Silverton as well as Great Sand Dunes National Park. The southwest corner of Colorado was the most beautiful and interesting part of the state during my trip through there years ago. Thank you for sharing this trip with us Tristan.
David H : "so... I'mmm... gonna get out of town." Such sentiments bring joy to my soul.
